Citizen is a Japanese watchmaker founded in Tokyo in 1918 and one of the largest watch brands in the world. Citizen’s best-known invention is Eco-Drive – Eco-Drive uses light energy and stores it in a rechargeable cell. Regular battery changes are not needed, but the watch still needs servicing. Depending on the model, a fully charged Eco-Drive watch runs for several months in the dark.
